Michael
Day attended Erindale College of the University of Toronto for two years and
then enrolled at the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor and graduated
with his degree in law in 1979. Mr. Day has attended numerous Continuing Legal
Education programs sponsored by The Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian
Bar Association and has lectured at Sheridan College in a law course. He founded
a legal clinic for students at the University of Toronto (Erindale College) in
Mississauga and he has represented as an agent The Ministry of the Attorney
General and the Ministry of Community and Social Services in litigation matters. He has appeared in all levels of courts in Ontario and has addressed the Senate
House Committee in Ottawa on important matters of legislation. Mr. Day is a
member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and The Peel Law Association. He has
been a member of the Area Committee for The Ontario Legal Aid Plan which is a
statutory appeal tribunal for matters of legal aid. Mr. Day has also had experience
on the Ethics
Committee of a local hospital in Mississauga.
